Terms of use
The ground rules for using KidStudy, in plain English.
Last updated 16 October 2026
Accepting these terms
By using KidStudy (kidstudy.app) you agree to these terms. If you are using KidStudy with a child, you accept them on the child’s behalf. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Who provides KidStudy
KidStudy is provided by Examcert Pty Ltd, an Australian company (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at [email protected].
Free and non-commercial
KidStudy is free for every family, teacher and school. There are no accounts, subscriptions, advertising or in-app purchases, and you never need to give us payment details.
Use by children
KidStudy is made for children from Prep to Year 5. Children should use it with a parent, carer or teacher who can help them, decide how long they spend on screens, and look after settings such as the microphone and backups.
Acceptable use
Please use KidStudy for learning and teaching. Don’t:
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site;
- copy the site, its books, pictures, audio or questions in bulk, or publish them as your own;
- sell KidStudy content, or use it in a paid product or service;
- use the site in a way that breaks the law.
Printing and sharing worksheets
You may make, print and copy KidStudy worksheets (as PDF, PNG or on paper) and printable activities for personal, family and classroom use, free of charge. Teachers are welcome to copy them for their students.
Please don’t sell them, charge for them, or include them in a product that is sold.
Intellectual property
KidStudy, including its stories, pictures, audio, questions, lessons, design, Kobi the koala and the code written for it, is © 2026 Examcert Pty Ltd. Apart from the uses allowed in these terms, or by law, you may not copy or reuse it without our permission.
Some parts belong to others and are used under their own licences, including the fonts (SIL Open Font License), jsPDF (MIT licence) and GSAP (GSAP Standard no-charge licence). See Legal notices for details.
Educational content, and no guarantee of results
KidStudy is practice at home and in class. It follows the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, but it is not a school, a tutor or an assessment, and it is not endorsed by any education authority. Every child learns differently, so we can’t promise any particular result. Your child’s teacher and school are the best guide to how they are going.
Accuracy and reporting mistakes
Many stories, pictures, questions and the Australian voice recordings were created with the help of AI tools and then checked by people. We take care, but mistakes can happen. If you spot one, please tell us at [email protected] and we will fix it.
Availability and changes to KidStudy
We provide KidStudy “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change or remove content and features, and the site may sometimes be unavailable. Because progress is saved only on your device, please back it up from the home page now and then.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of KidStudy, or from being unable to use it, including loss of progress saved on a device. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again.
Links to other websites
KidStudy links to a few other websites, such as examcert.app and the places where the fonts and code we use are published. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The new version applies from the date it is posted on this page, shown as “Last updated” at the top.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of Victoria and the courts that can hear appeals from them.
